IMPLEMENTATION
► CD Documentation:-
o Understands and utilizes CAD standards and apply them accordingly
o Produce block plans elevations and sections
o Thorough and accurate at red line pick-ups
o Update and correct clouds and revision notes on drawing/spec modifications
o Draw and tag finished plans and elevations
o Produce basic designs, sections and details of millwork and furniture.
o Produce door, hardware, plumbing, lighting, finish schedules
o Put together an architectural folder for Concept/CD/DD.
o Produce furniture layouts and floor plans.
► FF&E;Specification Requirements
o Scan images and format in order to create specifications.
o Format actual specifications on sheets.
o Format a completed spec book including index sheets and contacts
o Assists with matrix process.
o Interpret what is needed for the ‘look’ and select appropriate FF&E;items.
o Draw simple custom furniture drawings and details.
o Contact vendors, order samples, collect and document pricing and lead times.
o Organize all aspects of the specification process—answering questions, sending packages, selecting, etc.
o Research sourcing - cataloging of vendors/resources.
► CA Process
o Send formatted replies to RFI per instructions.
o Complete project close-out details, documentation, storage of records
► Teamwork:
o Asks questions for clarity and keep the team informed of progress.
o Maintain billable hour level on a weekly basis; communicate any deviation with Project Manager.
o Communicate with Project Manager(s) regularly, alerting them of possible problems or conflicts with project specs, drawings etc.
o Actively participate in project meetings, training classes, read and understand company standards and procedures.
o Offer unsolicited feedback on how to improve system and procedures when opportunities arise. Take initiative to make positive change
o Demonstrate leadership skills in assisting team to produce quality projects – work alongside the team and assist as and when needed.
o Organise and maintain the sample room.
► Colors & Materials:
o Know how to produce color boards.
o Understand sourcing for products (uses, pricing, appropriateness).
o Selects appropriate FF&E;products for review that capture the look and attitude as well as durability and pricing.
o Demonstrate a good eye for colour and materials.
o Demonstrate a good eye for scale and balance, color and material relationships in both architecture and FF&E;.
o Can analyze magazine images and recognize the design principles being used to create ‘A Look’ and ‘Mood Board’.
► Technical
o Have good hand-sketching skills. Able to sketch something quickly in order to show ideas and concepts.
o Show skill in working up quick 3D views in various computer programs.
o Able to scan and crop images in Photoshop, manipulate, if required, to eliminate adjacent images, remove writing, etc.
o Able to input sketches into CAD, block up elevations, manipulate floor plans, dimensions, create schedules, tag finishes from redline set, and set title blocks.
o Knowledge of InDesign is useful.

§ Develop knowledge of the industry, in both the office and site. Keep abreast of trends.
► Skills expected to be developed while a Junior Designer:
o Learn the Pace drawing standards and office system.
o Know how to write a specification accurately; material types, finishes, durability, widths, weights, yardages, upholstery, fill notes – including all instructions required to fabricate the product.
o Have a knowledge of vendors, what they represent in products, where to find specific styles of fabrics, furniture, lighting, wall covering, flooring and manufacturer specification. Able to meet with vendors to discuss new products.
o Know the operational and code needs: double rubs, fire code, stain guarding etc. requirements for fabrics and materials in general.
o Work quickly and efficiently, tracking hours daily, entering them into time-sheet system. Demonstrated ability to do task in assigned hours/time with time management skills.
o Able to tag layouts and floor plans with keys and required notes.
o Familiar with and able to implement all DDA (Disability Discrimination Act UK) standards, processes and procedures.
OPERATIONAL
► Excellent knowledge of Revit in order to work within a BIM format using international drawing standards.
► Develop all aspects of drawings in plan, section & elevation following the office standards.
► Establish effective professional relationships with a network of clients and suppliers in order to assist in increasing the credibility of PACE’s Interior Design Section

EDUCATION/QUALIFCATIONS
► Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or similar
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
► 1-5 years of experience in a design office.

► Ability to select foreign and local materials/equipments/assemblies and finished products based on technical evaluations
► Knowledge on CAD standards and procedures.
