Afnan Group of Companies is looking for a PV Design & Estimation Engineer for its Energy Division. Main responsibilities include-
• Lead engineering for projects in pipeline – residential, commercial, and utility scale
• Verify initial system layout and gear location specified by sales person and suggest optimizations, if any.
• Preparing submittal files
• Preparing tenders proposals
• Study floor plans/ documents supplied by the client and Communicate with them to understand their requirement for better engineering work
• Visit site location for survey, if so required
• Complete system designs for PV projects; including site plans, mechanical racking and attachment plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of BOS location and interconnection details, and labeling
• Use custom software tools to design PV ground mounted and rooftop systems
• Perform accurate system sizing calculations
• Execute designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements
• Interface and provide streamlined project information and detailed bill of materials to the procurement managers
• Provide project managers and sales department with engineering support as needed
• Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our standard products, and lead the evaluation of alternate products
• Run PVsyst reports for system production estimates
• Coordinate with project engineers during installation and execution
• Work across functionally with sales and project management, and installation teams to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met
• Troubleshoot design and construction issues in the field, as well as after-sales support
• Attend fairs and events relevant to scope of work
• Preparing reports for head office and keeping client records
المهارات
Bilingual (Arabic & English)
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
At least 3 years of design and engineering experience related to renewable energy
Knowledge of HT equipment on AC side of Solar system such as transformers / Panels / transmission lines, etc.
Additional experience with estimating or designing other electrical systems is preferred
Detail Oriented
Team Player
Competence in AutoCAD
Competence in PVsyst
Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Clear understanding of the Kuwaiti Market
