PERATIONAL
► Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations; assist the HoS in establishing/updating section policies and procedures
► Remain abreast with advancements and trends in the field of Landscape Design, components and developments in codes of practice, (both local and international)
► Support the HoS in providing inputs to the proposals department (e.g. man month requirements etc.) regarding the contribution of the Landscape Design section to projects
► Assist the HoS in the evaluation of proposals submitted by sub-consultants during RFPs issued by PACE in order to recommend sub-consultants to owners/clients
► Develop a thorough understanding of client design requirements prior to the commencement of any design project; coordinate with the HoS and other architects & engineers for further clarifications on design requirements
► Coordinate effectively with other architects and engineers throughout project lifecycles (planning, concept, preliminary, final etc.); review and understand their drawings and specifications to ensure that adequate provisions in the landscape designs are made based on the designs provided by the other sections
► Prepare client presentations by designing multiple concept design alternatives for the client and assist the Project Manager (PM) in presentation deliveries to receive approval on the concept design
► Ensure the development of the preliminary landscape design in coordination with other departments and assist in the approvals for the preliminary landscape design from the relevant government authorities and the client
► Develop detailed working drawings for the project that will include site sections, detailed sections, material description, setting out layouts
► Assist the Quantity surveyor in defining specifications and cost estimates (if required)
► Assist the Project Manager in ensuring client approval on the final working drawings
► Handle the resolution RFI (Request for Information) from contractors or site queries (if any) during implementation
► Assist on site landscape architects by responding to technical queries which they raise
► Maintain archive of previous work products
► Recommend technology upgrades as and when required
المهارات
Education/Qualifications
► Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture would be preferred
► Certification from Kuwait Municipality/Kuwait Society of Engineers
Professional Experience
► 10-15 years of experience in Landscaping projects
► Middle East project and working experience is essential
Competencies
Techno-Functional Competencies
► Working knowledge of BIM processes
► Working knowledge of Landscape drafting software for CAD, AutoCad, (Revit/BIM softwares preferred)
► Working knowledge of writing hard and soft landscape specifications in CSI MasterFormat
