Qualifications: It is expected to have the following professional and personal profile:
• Technical: Proficient knowledge of quality infrastructure in the context of aid and development domains, proven competence & achievement record in the area of setting
up national quality frameworks, understanding of economic aspects of TCB, technical barriers to trade and conformity infrastructure.
• Behavioural: Analytical thinking; planning, organizing and problem solving abilities, proven ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, proven experience
in overcoming deadlocks and difficulties in the implementation of complex projects, proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, demonstrated diplomatic and negotiating skills, respect to UN values and ethical standards.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: An advanced university degree, preferably in Science/Engineering, or any related field.
• Experience: More than 15 years of professional experience, with a proven track of managing and directing technical assistance projects in developing countries (preferably within the Middle East). International assignments in developing countries within UN, World Bank or other international development agencies programmes.
• Skills: drafting technical reports, presentation, communication, and proficient level of using MS Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written
and verbal, sensitivity to cultural, socio‐economic and political differences. Knowledge and experience of work with UN constituents and knowledge of UN procedures would
be an asset; proficient level of using MS Office Suite.
