Job Description and Requirements
JOB PURPOSE
This position is designed for those who are highly qualified PhD holders with vast experience in teaching and conducting research in the field of nutrition. Candidates who are “Registered Dietitians” or “Licensed Dietitians” are preferred. The candidate is expected to professionally cover the Department undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Medical Nutrition Therapy, Diet Planning and Disease, Pediatric Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition Practicum (community nutrition). It will be an added advantage if the candidate could contribute to the College shared courses like Epidemiology and Introduction to Research.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Teaching theoretical and practical Department/College/University level courses
Research designing, implementation and evaluation
Student advising and administrative activities

REQUIRED SKILLS --
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
PhD in Nutrition or a closely related field from an accredited university
Demonstrated success in university teaching at undergraduate and graduate level
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technically confident in teaching courses related to Clinical Nutrition
Demonstrated research experience
Experience in curriculum development and academic accreditation process
Record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals

COMPETENCIES
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at university level after obtaining the degree
Evidence of teaching excellence and experience
Experience in clinical and community nutrition
