We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager - HVAC with both Design and Engineering experience.
Role is a 1 year contract with immediate start.
Supervise development engineers, designers and technicians.
Direct efforts that ensure organization compliance with product safety requirements
Support the execution of the Organization technology development strategy & roadmap
Demonstrated strong leadership and team building abilities
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including coaching and mentoring.
Contributes to the team by applying knowledge of refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems & electronic control systems.
Assist and support actions to improve engineering group in the areas of time to market, reliability improvement, and cost reduction of existing products.
Document process improvements as part of standard engineering work.
Interfacing with manufacturing personnel to ensure design meets operations team requirements.
Presents project status to senior management at project reviews.
المهارات
Experience/Qualifications:
· Experience in the specification, design, development and manufacture of products in the HVAC, refrigeration, compression or aligned industries is ideal. Previous relevant products can be both residential and/or commercial air conditioners (air cooled or water cooled), refrigerators, ice makers, refrigeration equipment, commercial chillers.
· Project management and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an engineering design team
· Technical knowledge of refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems, structural analysis & electronic control systems
· Demonstrated creativity in new product design
· Working knowledge of industry test and safety standards
· Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods
· Demonstrated experience in continual process improvement
· Follow-up and follow-through skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to facilitate and interact with multiple levels of the organization
· Six to ten years of directly applicable experience in engineering design/analysis.
· A minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
Education
· BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 plus years of related work experience
