Hiring Operations Executive - Dubai
Location: Tecom, Al Barsha Heights, Dubai, UAE
Job Description:
• Provide voyage instructions to Master.
• Monitor daily movements of assigned vessel/s.
• Ensure relevant documents are available at various stages of operations.
• Nominate and coordinate with agents on daily port updates and berthing prospects of the vessel/s.
• Request and check Proforma Disbursement Account (PDA)/Final Disbursement Account (FDA) to different agents in various ports.
• Update loading/discharging/sailing reports on daily basis to concerned parties.
• Appoint and coordinate various surveyors.
• Monitor bunker consumption of assigned vessel/s.
• Calculate daily bunker consumption of vessel in order to check whether bunker on board is sufficient for entire voyage.
• Coordinate with bunker supplier to arrange bunker supply.
• Check and validate draft statement of facts (SOF) prior completion of cargo operations.
• Prepare laytime calculations after completion of cargo operations.
• Assist to prepare and check bills of lading.
• Prepare Letter of Indemnity (LOI) and obtain approval from the vessel owners.
• Prepare hire statement of assigned vessel/s.
• Notify redelivery notices to owners as per charter- party.
• Update server folder on day-to-day basis
• Assist Operations Head in documentation and other operations tasks he may require.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in handling dry bulk operations.
• Must be confident on writing email and letters.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Meticulous yet a fast worker who meets deadlines.
• Proactive and performs duties with little or no supervision.
• Willing to work irregular hours when required.
• Responsible and strong team player who multi-tasks well.
