Hiring Procurement Engineer
Location: UAE
We are hiring a Procurement Engineer for our client in the UAE. If you have experience in steel fabrication, analyzing drawings, and managing subcontractors and suppliers, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze steel structure drawings and ensure accuracy.
• Verify quantities from CAD drawings.
• Coordinate with Design, Estimation, and Project teams for multiple projects.
• Finalize subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Utilize Excel, Word, and CAD for tasks.
• Liaise with Project Coordinators, Planning Engineers, Site Engineers, and Stores for daily material needs.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and negotiate terms.
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials and goods.
• Confirm purchase orders and generate LPOs.
• Collect feedback on material quality from stores.
• Assist Construction Manager in monitoring costs and preparing reports.
• Track site material consumption and plan demand.
• Maintain accurate records in computerized systems.
• Arrange materials for inspection and certification.
• Conduct market research and vendor ratings.
• Prepare regular reports and share with concerned parties.
• Manage materials related to interior turnkey works.
• Maintain a strong database of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and administer local purchases and subcontract works.
• Ensure invoices/bills are approved and cleared.
• Support sample board presentations and product pricing.
• Ensure timely and accurate project execution.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience in steel fabrication procurement.
• Strong knowledge of analyzing drawings and CAD.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and CAD software.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage projects.
• Negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with building materials and interior turnkey works.
• Materials management and supply chain experience.
• Strong database of steel fabrication suppliers and subcontractors.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
