Job Description:
Emirates Markets is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Purchase Manager with a background in retail hypermarket and a deep understanding of procurement processes within the UAE. The Purchase Manager will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring efficient stock replenishment. If you have a strong background in the UAE’s retail hypermarket sector and possess exceptional procurement skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely availability of products while optimizing costs.
• Vendor Management: Identify and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends and negotiate pricing to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Inventory Control: Collaborate with the inventory and sales teams to ensure that stock levels are well-maintained and aligned with sales targets.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and that suppliers adhere to agreed-upon quality parameters.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team to achieve individual and collective targets.
• Compliance: Ensure procurement processes adhere to legal and regulatory standards and company policies.
• Reporting: Provide regular procurement reports and analysis to senior management.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement and purchasing, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
• Thorough knowledge of procurement processes in the UAE retail market.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international suppliers and products.
