Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser at AWG, you will play a vital role in creating an attractive and organized shopping environment for our customers. You should have a deep understanding of plants, sales, and merchandising techniques to ensure the success of our garden shop.
Responsibilities:
• Select, arrange, and maintain plant displays to ensure they are visually appealing and well-organized.
• Provide expert guidance and information to customers on plant selection, care, and gardening products.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
• Keep inventory well-stocked and assist in ordering new products as needed.
• Monitor plant health and take necessary actions to maintain the quality of the merchandise.
• Participate in regular training to stay updated on plant care and new product offerings.
• Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, including watering plants and sweeping as needed.
• Assist in seasonal promotions and special events at the garden shop.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a garden shop or similar retail environment.
• A strong passion for plants and horticulture.
• Knowledge of various types of plants, their care requirements, and their seasonal availability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proven sales and merchandising experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving plants and garden supplies.
