Location: On-site, Dubai
Job Description:
• Maintain regular and distributed database installations in UAT, TEST, and development environments.
• Update patches, service packs, and database patches recommended by application vendors.
• Implement agreed database hardening procedures, execute vulnerability scripts, and obtain approval from IS.
• Provide technical support and issue troubleshooting to various verticals during the various phases of the project life cycle.
• Responsible for ensuring database security compliance and managing audit inputs for databases.
• Backup and restoration of databases according to project requirements.
• Follow-up on critical issues with primary database vendor.
• Assist in the handover of the environment to the bank operations team after go-live support.
• Listed above are all the accountabilities, including but not limited to any additional/ unforeseen tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager.
Minimum Qualification
• Minimum Bachelor/Master degree in IT or equivalent
Minimum Experience
• Minimum 4 Years of Experience in MS SQL Database Administration on-Prem and Azure/Cloud
Technical Competencies:
• Database Installation, Setup & Configuration
• Database Management and Administration
• Database Performance Tuning
• Database backup and restorations covering all scenarios
• Windows & virtualization systems knowledge
• Cluster Active-Active implementation & support
