Estimation Manager

Hiring Estimation Manager – Civil Works Department
• Review the tender documents to evaluate the scope of the project.
• Draw on best practice from industry in the development and maintenance of Company standards and resources.
• To conceptualize layouts for the project and review all estimates before they are being submitted
• To closely monitor the results of the tenders and update them in the tender register
• Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects
• Provide area specific forecasts and report projects status
• Manage multiple bids and perform as liaison between estimating team and Management
• Revise estimates and implement required changes
• Participate pre and post bid meetings as required
• Perform as liaison for Project Management when tender is awarded and becomes job on hand.
• Assure estimates are realistic and based on industry standard units, with transparency to drive competitive project performance
• Review the direct and indirect cost sheets in addition to the top sheet and make the needed amendments in coordination with the Team and division managers
• Contact the suppliers, subcontractors and clients when needed to facilitate the tendering process and abide by the timeline
• Review the Technical file after collecting the needed documents to be sent to the client to understand the organization’s capabilities
• Manage the process of handing over the project documents to the operations team
• Studies and understands the contract documents of each project before, after estimating to determine areas, including provisions of the general or special conditions
• Produce construction estimates including detailed documentation of line-item construction costs, value-engineering assessments and cost reduction strategies
• Provide technical estimating support to store design, architecture & construction
• Negotiate with clients and revise the tender in order to award the project to the company.
• Track all project costs in the construction phase to produce accurate project forecasts
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineer
• At least 10+ years related experience in construction cost management
• License Engineer, Knowledge in AutoCAD and Primavera
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skill
• Strong planning and analytical skills and attention to details
• Able to work on extended hours to fulfil and respond to emergency situations
