Hiring Office Assistant in Dubai
We are looking for an Office Boy/Office Assistant who will be responsible for performing a range of general office support tasks. Their role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment and assisting other office staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Office Maintenance: Keep the office premises clean and tidy, including cleaning and dusting workspaces, furniture, and equipment. Ensure that the kitchen, conference rooms, and restrooms are well-maintained.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain office supplies, such as stationery, pantry items, and cleaning supplies. Place orders for supplies as needed and keep inventory records.
• Mail and Courier Handling: Collect and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper documentation.
• Assist with Office Moves: Help with office relocation or rearrangement of furniture and equipment when necessary.
• Meeting and Event Support: Set up and clean rooms before and after meetings or events. Assist with preparing refreshments for meetings, if required.
• Errand Running: Run office-related errands, such as purchasing office supplies, making photocopies, and delivering documents within the office complex or to external locations.
• Assist with Office Equipment: Ensure photocopiers, printers, and other office equipment are in working order. Notify IT or maintenance staff if repairs are needed.
• Document Filing: Assist with filing and organizing documents, both in physical and digital formats, as directed by office staff.
• Guest Services: Greet visitors, offer refreshments, and guide them to the appropriate personnel or meeting rooms.
• Support for Office Staff: Assist colleagues with tasks, such as photocopying documents, preparing meeting materials, or helping with administrative work.
• Security and Safety: Be aware of office security procedures and assist in maintaining a secure office environment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an Office Boy or in a similar role is often preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of cleanliness and organization.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks that involve lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Willingness to adapt to various office-related tasks as needed.
• Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with colleagues and visitors.
