We are hiring Transport Team Supervisor for a well-known Aviation in Dubai for service logistic
Roles and Responsibility:
• Coordinate resource as planned to meet workloads on hi-lifts to flights and catering requirements outside of our facility.
• Maintain accurate and on time delivery of all catering related services to customers as per specification and standards.
• Exercise control and accountability on fueling, road worthiness and cleaning of vehicles.
• Closely monitor aircraft movements and liaise closely with Duty officer and team leaders to ensure smooth and effective running of operations.
• Continuously improve the performance of the department by means review and suggestion areas of improvement with justification.
• Ensure that all apron personnel have applicable PPE to operate safely airside, while ensuring all guidelines are strictly followed by all drivers.
• Liaise with airport transport officials / ramp personnel and traffic police Mobile patrols, Apron monitoring, supervise driving tests and maintain all records whilst keeping all focused on delivering on their field of expertise.
• Should be well versed with emergency procedures of catering HI loaders, Apron /Ramp/ Airport Safety. Manage a team of 50+ drivers and ensuring on time positioning of catering vehicles as per airline schedule, team allocations and vehicle availability in his shift
• Safety is one of the primary responsibilities; it’s your duty to report any incidents, near misses and hazardous conditions in the work place.
• Comply with health and safety procedures through SOPS, ramp safety guidelines.
• Actively seek to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents by means of monitoring, auditing, checks and training.
• Assist Duty officers in any required investigation with regard to customer or company complaints, highlighting improvements / corrective actions
Job requirements, skills and qualification
• Senior Secondary
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of similar airside experience.
• This would be in a supervisory position overseeing an operational logistics department with a headcount of 60+ staff or 100 vehicle movements per day.
• Active Heavy vehicle UAE license
• Allocations and shift handling 60+ staff
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Organizational skills
• Initiative
• Problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
