We are hiring an IT System Administrator
For a startup based in Dubai, with the goal of bringing new ideas to a global market in a sustainable & often disruptive way.
Location: Dubai, UAE
Responsibilities:
• Possess the expertise to respond to systems malfunction or failure in a timely, effective, and complete manner.
• Fulfill complex IT requests and tasks while maintaining systems availability, performance, and security.
• Monitor systems, application and database performance & configuration.
• Setup, Monitor & improve systems backup processes, practice DR processes & ensure system(s) can be rapidly recovered if required.
• Perform planning, implementation, and validation stages while operating independently.
• Performing routine audits of systems and software.
• Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Maintain sensitivity to deficiencies and oversights that threaten systems availability, performance, and/or security.
• Develop & Enforce general IT security practices within the company.
• Report, log, or address any issues with priority and timeliness commensurate with the degree of risk posed.
Requirements:
• Linux (Centos 7 & 8, Ubuntu) Nginx
• MySQL
• AWS Workdocs Google Workplace
• Management of In-house mail server (using zimbra) Management of In-house VOIP system (using 3cx)
• Assist 40 office staff as needed with Personal computer (Windows and MacOS) requirements, setup, problem solving.
• You will be expert with Bash, Perl, PHP scripting and others as needed.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
