Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Position Description:
The role is to ensure the stable operation of school classroom and office technology. This individual in this role will provision MACBOOKs, PC Laptops/Desktops computers with all necessary hardware and software applications for the optimal utilization by end users. They will be the first line of the school help desk support responsible for problem resolution. They will also be involved extensively with Server and Storage uptime, regular health check and maintenance. They will work and coordinate their activities with their team members on new deployments or to resolve issues as needed. A person who is eager to learn and come up with new and innovative approaches to problem solving with technology. Must be willing to working after school operational hours and weekends as needed.
The IT Support Specialist ensures the stable operation of school classroom and office technology. The individual in this role will provision desktop computers with all necessary hardware and software applications for the optimal utilization by end users. He/she will be the first line of the school help desk support responsible for problem resolution. He/she will also be involved extensively with Server and Storage uptime, regular health check and maintenance. He/she will work and coordinate their activities with their team members on new deployments or to resolve issues as needed.

Functional Skills:
Cohesive Team Worker with strong problem solving, troubleshooting, & communicationskills.
Extensive Desktop support experience required
Providing support and identifying training needs for the end users.
Good experience in Windows Server environment required
Highly self-motivated and work without much supervision
Strong customer service orientation and maintain positive relationships with end users
Keen attention to detail
Experience working in a team-oriented environment and collaborative approach in problem solving required
Provide on-call support after hours and on weekends as necessary
Assist to identify, plan and procure IT assets and consumables.
Technical Skills:
Experience Apple MAC/iPad hardware and software required with Mosysle MDM
Hardware and Software troubleshooting of Laptops, Desktops and Macs, iPads
Basic Knowledge of managing Virtualization Environment using VMware
Server and Storage experience (Nutanix)
Backup technologies (Symantec Backup EXEC, Veeam)
Setup and test desktop computer and printers
Install Operating System software (Windows OS Mac OS, iPad OS)
Basic networking concepts to ensure PCs and printers are communicating on the LAN/Internet
Run security scans regularly to ensure no security breaches on end user devices (Checkpoint)
Maintenance of Classroom Technologies (Computers, Projectors & Interactive Flat Panels)
Maintaining inventory of all IT resources within the organization
Maintaining user login accounts (GSuite, O365/Active Directory)
Operating system upgrades and installations.
Manage printers and scanner and troubleshoot end user issues.
Managing the IT HELPDESK portal as a way for users to inform the IT Department of any issues.
Experience with Audio/Visual Equipment for supporting events in Multi-Purpose Hall (QSC, Digital Mixer, Extron 4K Matrix Switcher, Stage Speakers (Bose), Wireless and Wired Mics (Shure), Stage Lighting Control (Zero 88),
Knowledge about MAP/CAT4 testing is a Plus.
The ideal candidate is an individual who is eager to learn and come up with new and innovative approaches to problem-solving with technology. The candidate must be willing to working after school operational hours and weekends as needed.
