About the job:
Our growing company is seeking to hire an experienced Estimator who will be in charge of providing detailed and budget estimate preparation for Interior Fit-out, Exhibition Stands and Joinery works to submit to clients and contractors.
Job description
• Study BOQ and provide cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements
• Study addendums and update tender documents.
• Calculate direct material cost based on 3D design
• Estimate time and labor costs and requirements of projects
• Source suppliers and manage supplier portfolio, including raw materials, finishes, furniture and other stand elements
• Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender
• Preparing, submitting and completing tenders, RFQ’s, negotiating costs and managing supplier contracts.
• Take off quantities and BOQ build-up/checking
• Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
• Prepare and issue material supply enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
• Prepare specifications and/or Contractors’ proposals
• Post tender negotiations
• Provide full support as required by the Management for all projects.
• Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing.
• Create and maintain cost database
• Capable of coordinating with specialist suppliers and subcontractors to get the best prices
• Calculate the submittal quantity and validate them against the design and BOQ quantities
Specific Knowledge:
• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, QS and Interior design
Experience:
• 4-6 years minimum experience with Interior Background (is a must)
• Experience in material management,
• Experience in managing and sourcing interior fit-out suppliers,
• Good Knowledge of the joinery and Fit-out Suppliers & Sub Contractors in the local market & overseas
• Proficiency in the English language, Arabic is a plus
• Multi-task and ability to work with more than one project
• Effective communication skills and technically sound
• Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data
• Results orientated and organized with the ability to deliver against deadlines
• Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS office (excel)
• Contract Type: Part time or Freelancer
• Visa Type: On their own visa, spouse visa or family visa
