The Team
Our Front Office team is an integral piece of the puzzle. The Candidate
As Duty Manager you will join a committed Front Office team, driven with the intent of delivering ‘FIVE-star’ experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich. The VIBE at FIVE is all about performing optimally while having the best professional experience of your life. You will be expected to have a passion for your role, disrupt norms all whilst having the best time of your life. As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries. We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think ‘on your feet’ during changing situations is also essential. You’ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Be passionate about maintaining a service standard that embraces time as the ‘new’ luxury and therefore deliver ‘FIVE-style’ service in a timely manner to the highest level of expectation - all while having fun with the FIVE Vibe! * Work closely with Guests to greet, converse, and assist with enquiries - especially when VIP Guests and long-stay Guests * Occupy the hotel lobby and other public areas, particularly at busy times * Engage Guests in conversation, and provide general assistance * Manage, record, and resolve all Guest complaints promptly and effectively * Meet and greet VIP Guests and major corporate clients upon arrival * Coordinate the services and special facilities provided to long-stay Guests * Understand all credit procedures and ensure they are applied * Stay current and up-to-date with all hotel products, services, policies and emergency procedures * Monitor Guest satisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results * Handle, record and follow through with management issues or emergencies that arise * Conduct any Health & Safety procedures, if required, including fire walks, food safety investigations, etc.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
* A Hands-on approach with a ‘can-do!’ work attitude * A commitment to delivering exceptional guest services with a passion * An ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned * Good knowledge of Health & Safety and security procedures * Luxury hospitality experience as a Duty Manager or similar role * Teamwork-oriented * A positive, hardworking and outgoing personality - with a fun-to-work-with energy at all times! * Experience in managing a diverse team * Previous relevant serving experience is a plus * Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a necessity * Proficiency in multiple languages is a bonus * Strong working knowledge of industry regulations is beneficial
