Job Purpose
Provide oversight for the Security Operations team and assist with the planning, designing and management of ATG IT Security systems including, system Firewalls, PAM, SIEM and Anti-Virus platforms to protect ATG systems from internal and external attacks. Carry out periodic security scans to identify any anomalies and suggest remedial measures. Lead the Security Operations team of analysts to ensure that KPIs and associated metrics are met to a high standard. Maintain appropriate vigilance and report any key security related risks and issues that puts Al Tayer security at risk to the Head of IT Security & Risk

Oversee IT Security related systems / equipment, as per IT policies and procedures, ensuring that ATG systems are secured against all unauthorized access.
Create consolidated view of different security technologies in the ATG environment and submit periodic reports and dashboards as agreed with management
Carry out periodic scans to identify sensitive data and carry out appropriate classification
Analyze and recommend most-effective ways of anomaly detection and remediation measures
Carry out periodic VA scans to identify vulnerabilities across technology layers and report findings to IT Management
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Analyse security related logs and ensuring timely completion to facilitate smooth and secure business operations. Follow proper escalation process internally and where ever necessary coordinate with external vendors for immediate resolution.
Monitor user activity using security tools to identify potential threats to corporate systems and data, determine causes of security violations, and review security data to identify patterns / trends which deviate from the norm to ensure timely action that maintain the security of IT systems
Keep track of system alerts and take necessary action to ensure that security of IT systems is maintained at all times.
Assist in security-related operations and governance activities including system access, segregation of duties, screening, coordination of role changes, leavers and joiners, evaluating and resolving basic user issues and problems related to access and usage of corporate systems, space, data and services; troubleshooting problems and researching solutions to a variety of user security issues associated with these requests.
Assist security team on all security related projects, to ensure project completion within the agreed timeline.
Ensure user compliance to IT security policies; identify and report security violations to ensure safety and protection of IT systems at ATG
Ensure change management process is followed for all Security related operations
Maintain technical and security expertise by researching current industry developments, tools available, trends, new products and technological advances.
Any other tasks as seen fit by the Head of IT Security & Risk to reduce security exposures for Al Tayer
People Management Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure that the team of security analysts within the team are coached and motivated to keep on top of security operations and configurations designed to keep Al Tayer systems secure at all times
Education/Certification and Continued Education
Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university
Graduate in Computer Science / Science
Ethical hacking exposure and identification of zero day vulnerabilities preferred
Working knowledge of Network/Systems/Database Administration
Industry standard Security Certifications
Years of Experience
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in IT / Cyber Security
Knowledge and Skills
• Experience in offensive and defensive security
• Good diagnostic skills and high technical acumen
• Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding and experience of relevant compliance frameworks and security frameworks
