About The Role
Are you an experienced professional in Facilities Management with hands-on managerial experience? Do you enjoy working closely with a diverse set of individuals? Are you ready to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously?
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings / departments / facilities and premises within the Atlantis Hotel Resort. You will be responsible for building maintenance, environmental / safety regulation compliance, grounds maintenance. Also, responsible to handle all of the real estate contracts and constructions projects, ensuring that all operations are in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Job duties include but not limited to providing facilities and reliability engineering support for the operation of facilities area. This includes enhancing safety, reliability and integrity of facilities, ensuring compliance to codes and regulations, promoting best practices, providing subject matter expertise and technical support, and collaboration on business opportunities. Project management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors. Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies. Create program of standards and initiatives to increase facility reliability; maintain and improve this program through on-going auditing, subject matter expertise and communication with operations/maintenance team. Coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility. Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
The primary goal is to focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity. This role has supervisory & budgetary responsibility.
In this exciting role, you will also be responsible to provide leadership to the assistant engineers, team leaders and technicians, to maximize the efficiency of the PPM and reactive maintenance.
About You
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree / diploma in mechanical / electrical engineering or any related field with a minimum of 5+ years within the facilities industry as a Facilities Engineer / Manager. Proven track record of working with operators, vendors, and contractors, ensure Local Compliance is upheld, particularly, DEWA, DM, DCD and other local authorities’ guidelines and current practice. Fully conversant with the Property Programs, ‘Targets and PPM Systems’ for the Effective Maintenance, and Management of MEP, Civil and Operational Systems. Certificate in software applications such as a CMMS, AutoCAD and SharePoint systems. 5+ years working with software applications related to Facilities Maintenance. Operation knowledge in CMMS & BMS systems are an asset.
You will have to demonstrate strong rectification and analytical skills, extensive background in preventative / reactive maintenance. Ability to be a “hands-on” engineer, while work independently and productively within a team environment. Multi-task with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to this, you will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to interface effectively with all levels of management.
