Area Sales Manager - UAE and Egypt
Roles & Responsibilities:
Achieve the agreed Sales Plan objectives and targets.
Develop appropriate sales and action plans, within a given framework, including agreement with any distribution channels for the Territory, in line with planned revenue targets and within agreed timescales.
Ensure company products are on all Territory’s major customers’ approved supplier lists and that we are accepted as the lead manufacturer/supplier.
Manage local project opportunities by identifying, implementing and co-ordinating a strategy to win the business.
Collect inter-territory project information, log on to GPT and communicate to all the relevant sales teams.
Provide competitor, technical and commercial data for each proposal and participate in tender vets to ensure business objectives are met by winning orders.
Maintain and develop relationships with the key decision makers at end users, OEMs and engineering houses, together with maintaining a network of contacts.
Ensure that we are fully aware of the needs of the Territory major companies. Communicate and liaise with the relevant product managers, manufacturing and design centers to maximize business potential and lay down the foundations of follow-on business.
Identify appropriate exhibitions and PR opportunities in the region and ensure implementation of agreed actions.
Report weekly and monthly on the progress of the Territory Sales Plan and other relevant data, as required.
Ensure technical knowledge and understanding of available products, systems and services is maintained at the highest level.
Must demonstrate a full understanding of the Territory business conducts, culture, business knowledge and work with the highest level of integrity.
Company Business System – champion the use of CBS tools (within the team) to ensure the continuous improvement of the business.
Update on regular basis information about competitor activity and changes in market requirements.
Initiate and drive Pre-Qualification Approved Manufacturer List (AML) process with end users for MRO and Projects business for relevant products not currently on the registration AML approved list.

Preference:
Arabic- and English-speaking
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in an industrial sales position, preferably in UAE.
Will have held positions as a sales engineer, area sales manager, technical sales, chemical engineer or product management.
Proven achievement of increasing sales revenue/growth in the Middle East/ UAE & EGYPT.
Comprehensive knowledge of industrial, chemical and petrochemical applications.
Comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
Ideally, Bachelor in an engineering or business discipline.

Multi-lingual, Arabic preferred. Fluent English oral and written skills.
