We are looking for a Chief Accountant on behalf of the client on a fixed-term contract of 1 year.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly closing processes, preparation of journal entries, and corporate data requests in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
• Engage and influence cross-functional teams on process improvement, compliance, or other projects.
• Work closely with tax and transfer pricing teams to ensure recharges across the international and domestic business are efficient and compliant.
• Work closely with the shared service center for bank reconciliation and payment transactions.
• Completing statutory audit work for all regional entities and internal audit requirements, ensuring deadlines are met and key issues escalated to the relevant stakeholder.
• Reviewing and posting of vendor invoices as well as travel expenses.
• Act as the primary contact person for Shared Service Centers.
Requirements.
• Must have at least Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting ideally with tax, transfer pricing and VAT.
• Possess strong accounting skills and deep experience of IFRS;
• Have experience of providing technical accounting advice to a variety of stakeholders
• Good stakeholder management skills and experience with a high credibility; the ability to communicate and influence individuals at all levels and to the most senior levels of finance within the company and external auditors.
• Be resilient and flexible, with the ability to cope with a fast-paced environment
• Have the ability to work well as part of a team, and be able to build effective relationships across the business
• Be able to deliver to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
• Have to drive for self-development and growth
• Strong IT skills specifically in Excel, and SAP or other advanced ERP with experience of Power BI beneficial
