Electrical, Civil/Structural, and Mechanical Co-ops for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023
program rotation starts (expected 3+ rotations within the co-op program) at our
Kennesaw, GA
location. Co-ops will help learn and support the design and analysis of changes to existing power plants as well as new systems. In addition, through the ENERCON Co-Op Development Program, Co-ops will receive dedicated mentoring and training opportunities in technical, customer-focus, soft skills, and career-progression topics, all targeted at their professional growth and development. In support of engineering design and analysis projects for the power industry, co-ops will assist engineers with work requiring the application of basic technical principles, theories, standards, and concepts. This will include reading and understanding design drawings and technical specifications as necessary to support the preparation of project deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluations. Co-ops will also work with and assist more senior engineers/technical specialists on a directed project-by-project basis.
Responsibilities (including but are not limited to)
* Obtain with and application of industry codes and government regulations * Learn and use discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production software * Support multi-disciplinary projects while interfacing with staff engineers and client engineers * Perform project-related tasks under the mentorship and guidance of experienced engineers
Required Qualifications/ skills
* Working towards a B.S. in either Electrical, Civil/Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university * Must be at least a sophomore-level student * Must be local to one of our ENERCON offices. * Proficient in Word and Excel * Good writing, presentation, and communication skills * Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
Preferred Qualifications/ skills
* Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation of calculations
Employment Requirement
* Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON, and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies * Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
