الوصف الوظيفي The Internal Sales Engineer role is a key role within the Sales group with expertise in Hazardous Area Lighting and Instrumentation products. Our key differentiator in the UAE and Gulf markets is its unparalleled levels of customer service & support and this position will be responsible for working closely with other sales team members e.g. the Sales Engineers, the Sales Office Manager and GM to ensure that the company delivers on this promise and drives the business forward. Using both technical knowledge, results orientated multi-tasking and key interpersonal skills the Proposals Engineer supports the external and senior sales managers through: 1) Client liaison, communication and relationship building; 2) Gaining essential understanding of products and applied solutions in order to manage customer enquiries and to create and follow up on quotations for sales divisions across the business; and 3) Managing of enquiries-to-orders pipeline and conversions in order to effectively drive forward the business. Alongside this the Proposals Engineer will participate in departmental meetings, technical training and presentations, and, occasionally, client visits and meetings. The Proposals Engineer will be working in a fast-paced, team environment and will need to be able to effectively multi-task, prioritise work and think laterally. The Proposals Engineer reports directly to the General Manager. Key Responsibilities: 1) Maintain agreed level of pro-active telephone contact with both existing and prospective customers. 2) Effectively deal with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for products and/or services. 3) Provide pre-sales technical information to customers, liaising with relevant managers for input as needed. 4) Produce accurate and timely quotations from enquiries allocated by the Sales Support Administrator. 5) Pro-actively follow up with quotations consistently and when necessary. 6) Meet and exceed the agreed specific performance objectives. 7) Ensure all information is entered into SAP system according to Sales Procedures. 8) Liaise on a daily basis with colleagues and update them on your work to ensure a high level of team collaboration and relations exist. 9) Ensure that the external sales team are kept informed of any key developments relevant to their accounts. 10) Ensure any customer complaints/issues/queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion. Where relevant, refer matters to the General Manager. 11) Attend and actively contribute meaningful input to weekly Sales meetings to keep managers and colleagues up to date on your sales and conversion pipeline. 12) Attend occasional site visits and customer meetings in order to develop professionally and understand and the business on a wider level. 13) Attend and positively contribute to company events, exhibitions, etc. as requested to both promote our brand and also to learn about external market influences on the business, product developments, etc. 14) Participate in training and development series. المهارات 1) Technical background and experience essential in hazardous area lighting & instrumentation products, a minimum of 2-year UAE experience. 2) Excellent understanding of written and spoken English language – articulate and well presented. 3) Proficiency in at least one of the following second languages would be advantageous: e.g. Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and/or Arabic. 4) Good understanding of how to write quotations and general ‘common sense’ understanding of pricing process. 5) Good computer skills and essential knowledge of MS Office applications. 6) Good numeracy skills and motivated by working to and achieving targets. Educational /Certification Requirement(s): 1) Technical degree in area such as electrical / electronics / instrumentation engineering. 2) Valid UAE Driving License.
