ABOUT US
Ascent Search recruits top-bracket talent for investors and rapidly growing companies globally - including PE & VC funds, Startups/Scaleups and Corporate leaders. Our candidates are educated at leading universities and typically trained in Consulting, Investment Banking and Advisory firms. Our curated network offers clients a laser-sharp candidate identification process.
We are based in Dubai, with assignments in US, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
THE ROLE: Consultant | Location: Dubai
Business Development
Generating and managing client business – within our established focus areas or developing into adjacent fields
Working with the MD and Research team to source leads
Leading client marketing and growing a P&L;Providing recommendations of new business targets (companies hiring from our networks)
Prepare reports and presentations for clients
Candidate Management
Nurturing relationships within our candidate network and ultimately managing negotiation & offer processes
Approaching, Screening and briefing candidates
Email, phone & video calls / meetings
Managing Researchers to deliver search plans and targeted shortlists
Marketing opportunities – with close attention to client requirements & organisation culture
Re-targeting (based on internal and client feedback; use of CRM data and search methodologies)
Shortlisting
Writing effective summaries to introduce CVs to hiring managers
Managing status updates: interview feedback, action plans etc.
Research - market mapping (managerial level)
Organising detailed research across our candidate universe – to be executed by our Research team
market mapping (current employees & alumni of top-tier Consulting, Investment Banking and Advisory firms)
Other
Curating candidate briefs, Co-management of posts across private job boards and alumni sites
Market Intelligence: Conducting cyclical benchmarking research (e.g., industry salary surveys).

REQUIREMENTS
#1 requirement – Character: driven, bold and thrives under expectation of winning new business.
Qualifications
Native / fluent English speaker, with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
1 year + experience in a function such as Recruitment/Executive Search; or Business Development, Sales & Marketing.
Advantageous: experience with LinkedIn tools, CRMs, or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Self-starter with good attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to relate sensitively to a diverse range of individuals and organisations
