Job Overview:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience, should have strong technical report writing skills with an analytical approach to report preparation and be able to interpret data and plots. The candidate will have worked on many environmental reports ranging from PERs, EBS, EIAs and water quality. You should have assisted management in proposal preparation and budgeting for new proposals and preferably lead small scale projects on your own. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
Duties and responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects tasks whilst undertaking technical delivery of projects, engage with clients and our field teams
Prepare comprehensive environmental reports such as; environmental impact assessments, scoping studies, audits, and monitoring reports, in accordance with national laws and regulations, as well as relevant international standards and best practices
Undertake environmental audits and monitoring in line with the relevant environmental auditing and monitoring procedures and protocols; prepare environmental audit and monitoring reports where necessary
Coordination of environmental audits and monitoring events to ensure timely submission of high-quality deliverables
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Preparing proposals and reports under direction of senior staff
Managing tasks according to scopes of work, and delivering high quality reports on time and within budget
Writing and preparing technical environmental reports
Understanding Quality, HSE, and Company Systems and ensuring their application in all areas of work
Perform other duties as needed
المهارات
Candidate Specification:
Bachelor’s Degree level qualification is preferable in environmental science environmental engineering, environmental management, marine sciences, oceanography, or similar; Professional membership with recognized organizations would be advantageous
Master’s degree in a relevant field is highly advantageous
Experience in the region is advantageous
Knowledge of marine field investigation techniques; marine ecology sampling (phyto-plankton, zooplankton, benthic infauna etc.)
Knowledge of agency coordination requirements
Strong technical writing technical skills are mandatory
Ability to travel for meetings and site visits where necessary
Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of statutory, technical and environmental considerations and the ability to provide technical solutions to meet those obligations
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Must be able to effectively work in minimally supervised and/or unsupervised environments
Travel may be required at times
SCUBA Diving Certification advantageous
Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive in the UAE
Strong working knowledge of software programs; GIS (Q or Arc), R, Matlab and be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
