About the Company: Taghmesa Restaurant is an Arabic Restaurant, a new introduced brand in Dubai in the heart of Arjan - Barsha South, and its expected to open its door in October 2021.
We serve fresh and flavorful foods in a fun atmosphere. We specialize in innovative Levant cuisine foods and our famous handmade is “Taghmesa” with variety of unique sauces. Our Menu includes a variety of interesting options to choose, that’s beyond your imagination, starting from fresh homemade Salads, Soap, Cold & Hot Appetizers, Shawerma, Mix Grills, Hot Daily Dishes, Pastries & Manakish, and Sweets. All of our meals are made from scratch, and we don’t compromise on the quality of the food that we always offer. Also, we are Vegan and Vegetarian friendly.
Job Purpose: Looking for a highly skilled, experienced and innovative Head Chef who strives to provide excellent culinary results in an efficient and professional manner. A chef who focuses on product, service and presentation in handling the design, creation and execution of great quality and innovative foods. The role will also demand complete control over kitchen operations and timely assessment and enhancement on recipes, ingredients and finished products on the menu. Constant improvement in product, process and presentation along with evaluation of competition would be vital elements of the role.
Main Responsibilities:
Mean Reengineering - Conceptualizing, designing, executing, and developing restaurant menu and introduce new & creative dishes items in collaboration with Restaurant Manager.
Kitchen Management - Preparation, cooking, supervising, and presentation of all culinary dishes to the restaurant guests and prepare recipe cards for food.
Inventory Management - Managing, purchasing, ordering, contract negotiating, and counting all the F&B;Inventory and packaging stocks on regularly basis in collaboration with Restaurant Manager.
Waste Control - Monitor food portion and control waste to achieve the target profit margins in collaboration with Restaurant Manager.
Cleanliness - Follow the rules of health & safety in the kitchen and ensure very high quality food & hygiene standards overall in the kitchen and restaurant.
Kitchen Equipment - Maximize the utilization of kitchen equipment, safety & carefully use them, and arrange for repairs when necessary.
Corporate Governance & Compliance - Ensure compliance with statutory laws, local governments & federal requirements, and monitor kitchen compliance in term of food safety requirements of DM, DDA, and Others.
People Management - Provides help to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance & development plan, as well as conduct regular meetings with team.

Requirements:
Must be presently in UAE and available for food tasting.
Male, 40 Years old and below.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Further education in Culinary Arts would be an added advantage.
Should have pervious experiences in similar business models and cuisine with a minimum of 4 years.
Proven experience as Head Chef or Startup experience - Not necessary but add plus.
Ability to manage the kitchen team.
Passionate about food, flavors, ingredients and strong understanding of Arabic Food Cuisine.
Experience in Health & food Safety, Kitchen Equipment, and manual handling techniques.
A clear understanding of the importance of client service and aware of food innovation and current trends in the industry.
Good in English and Arabic is must.
Have UAE Driving License would be an added advantage.
Received 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccination is must.
Good Level of numeracy & financial.
Organized with excellent time management skills, ensuring that meals go out on time and the work areas remain clean and orderly.
Ability to multi task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, and POS).
Ability to troubleshooting any problems that may arise in kitchen.
