Job Description
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our Middle East Upstream Research team in Dubai. Our teams located around the world deliver research and consulting expertise on upstream oil and gas projects, providing our assessment of valuations and carbon emissions.
Together we work with a wide range of clients including national and major oil companies, independents, investment banks and institutional investors. We believe the next decade will be transformational for the energy industry and the Middle East will continue to play a key role.
About the role
As part of a world-class team of experts, you will monitor and assess key events and commercial developments in oil and gas in the Middle East, gathering and analysing industry data.
You will develop a unique perspective of the Middle East energy industry and use this knowledge to produce high-quality reports, presentations and thought-provoking articles.
You will become adept at valuing oil and gas assets, modeling carbon emissions, evaluating the role and impact of lower carbon-intensity energy and understanding the key issues that inform that valuation.
You will also form opinions on corporate strategies, the business environment, exploration, M&A;deals, petroleum economics, government energy policy and regional geopolitics.
You will be proactive in developing a network of client and industry contacts in the Middle East, where you can share ideas and support our commercial objectives.
As part of our integrated and collaborative environment, you will provide analytical input into consulting engagements, support sales and work on cross-team projects.
You will get the opportunity to travel in the region once this is safe and possible.
