Originates and analyzes identified nursing staff educational needs and assessments.
Provides evidence-based nursing education for staff
Contributes to and implements the strategic plan for the Nursing Education Department incorporating the identified long and short-term goals of the division of Nursing Services and hospital
Facilitates educational programs consistent with adult learning principles with goals and objectives appropriate to the multi-cultural nursing staff.
Communicates educational recommendations to Clinical education manager
Utilizes multiple teaching modalities effectively. Demonstrates proficiency in educational design including development of needs assessment, educational objectives, content, outline, teaching methods, evaluations strategies, effective designation of appropriate physical facilities to reflect cross cultural learning styles and in the use of resources.
Conducts and assesses train the trainer educational opportunities. Reviews and analyzes the impact of the programs and amends as indicated by analysis.
Delivers a competency- based nursing orientation program which embraces all theoretical, clinical, technical and equipment based orientation needs
Contributes too and delivers programs to meet emerging learning needs generated by changes in best practice recommendations, technological advances, research developments, accreditation needs and as required by the organization.
Maintains concise and accurate records of the training programs conducted all staff and schedules retraining/recertification as needed.
Establishes and maintains an environment that promotes and supports professional practice and the philosophy of life long learning.
Fosters collaborative relations and mutual understanding.
Communicates effectively. Maintains open positive, harmonious and professional relationships at all times.
Participates in performance improvement activities as requested by nurse manager clinical education
Presents a positive corporate image to the community
Assists the Nurse Manger of clinical education in the effective running of Nursing Services through willing acceptance of any other responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
المهارات
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
Current DHA licensure essential.
Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification, ACLS/PALS/NRP preferable
BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP provider/ instructor desirable
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
Minimum 5+ years GCC healthcare experience in a clinical leadership or educational role.
Experience of competency assessment and mapping essential
Experience in preceptorship/mentorship required
Previous experience in a teaching preferred.
