Job Roles:
This position is responsible for ensuring personnel and UPS procedures are in place so that all dangerous goods shipments are in compliance with applicable all governmental laws and regulations and UPS requirements for air and ground transport. The coordinator will guide operations on the necessary training, controls, and UPS procedures which must be followed. He/ She will be responsible for providing and developing various trainings to all new & existing Service Providers.
Job Duties:
• Conduct induction training with all new Service Providers covering delivery methods, delivery device, Space and Visibility / Safe work Methods etc
• Ensure timely completion of the 26day training pack for new drivers in coordination with supervisors
• Provide and develop refresher training for all existing SPs as required to ensure their understanding of work methods
• Train all drivers on any new products and enhancement to service
• Prepare annual training plans for the Centre on mandatory training and follow up to ensure timely completion
• Assist in the execution on Safety QIPs and follow up with operational team
• Update and maintain the ever changing training material and supporting systems
• Ensure all Service Providers are well versed in their duties
• Ensure SP depth of knowledge is at an acceptable level and devise methods of training to enforce a thorough understanding of 5 seeing Habits and 10 Commentary points
• Complete On Road Observations with driver and Prepare a weekly report of all on-road observations(including team) and share feedback
• Maintain accurate and efficient filing (soft copy / hard copy) for all training provided
• Responsible for maintaining an accurate training record for the operation department
• Involved in Centre audits & Corporate Audits, including International Regulatory Compliance Audits (IRCR), when required.
• Update safety board with accident Statistics and relevant safety information
Oversees Compliance with UPS Dangerous Goods Procedures and Self Audits
• Confirm UPS remains in compliance when handling and transporting dangerous goods by air and ground .
• Conduct/oversee audits of the dangerous goods process.
• Establish support for the dangerous goods compliance program by interacting with operational management so as to assist them in maintaining their knowledge of UPS dangerous goods policies and procedures.
• Assist in keeping information in MOP and LOP current, including the Region-specific Appendix and appropriate translations (if required), by submitting all changes to ISMEA Dangerous Goods Coordinator. Review and forward changes to Corporate Regulated Goods.
• Confirm Center/Business managers are fully briefed and instructed on dangerous goods procedures applicable to their center and operations.

• Ability to plan and organize effectively
