1. Participate in the disclosure of EPC contracts, breakdown of the contract contents related to the major, specify the contract technical requirements, and prepare preventive measures for the existing risks;
2. Review and comment on the technical specification for geotechnical investigations. Provide the reasonable foundation solutions based on the geotechnical reports;
3. Be familiar with the relevant international standard;
4. Review the technical specification for equipment bidding in line with EPC Contract requirements.
5. Review the drawings of the design institute in line with EPC Contract requirement to make the design scheme to be in compliance with EPC Contract requirements.
6. Urge the equipment manufacturer to submit the documents as per progress and organize the review for it as well, creating condition for the deeper design of the design institute and equipment vendor production.
7. Responsible on feedback various statistical forms related to professional operation projects, and providing timely feedback;
8. While considering the rationality of design scheme in the course of review, take the economy and site construction convenience into account as well to maximize the company benefit.
9. Be familiar with the site construction and mobilization for oversea projects.
10. Push the review progress of owner’s consulting engineer toward design institute drawings.
11. Master the product performance and technical feature of supplier’s equipment.
12. Deal with the significant contract modification in the course of site construction.
13. Participated in professional technical training and technical exchanges, provided timely feedback of project operation experience, and improved experience feedback as required.
14. Cooperate with the project owner, design institute and equipment manufacturers to do a good job of interface;
15. Cooperate with internal department to do a good job of interface.
Desired Candidate Profile
i. Experienced in the field of Civil & Structural & Geotechnical Engineering and Construction. Proficient in the design of steel and reinforced concrete. Specialized in shallow/deep foundation design and ground treatment. Has extensive knowledge in Fire Fighting & HVAC. Knowledgeable in various international codes and standards for design and construction such as, AISC, ACI, Euro codes/BS, UBC-97, ASCE 7, IBC, SBC, Saudi Aramco, SEC standard, Process Industry Practices (PIP).
ii. Client experience includes major clients like Saudi Aramco, ACWA, SEC, SWCC, DEWA, would be preferred.
iii. Have good experience and communication skills to liaise with fabrication parties, subcontractors, clients or the third party. Have coordination skills to organize and arrange engineering work and handle interface issues.
iv. Have good knowledge and understanding of the entire process of engineering, procurement, construction.
v. Responsible for the engineering management of one or more projects, quality control\schedule control\optimization\coordination with each part\etc.
vi. Responsible for the equipment technical management of one or more projects, which include issue technical specification, technology negotiation, and design coordination with the vendors
vii. Responsible for work summary and experience feedback of the project.
viii. Responsible for design optimization control of Civil BOQ such as earthwork, streel structure, concrete, rebar, etc.
Others:-
8-12 years of experience in civil structural engineering, construction management including some field experience required with a minimum of 3 years in the Middle East region preferred.
• Professional and technical experience on Power Plant or Desalination Plant (including SWRO).
• Ability to edit and guide the claim report to client and counterclaim report to subcontractors
• Excellent skills in all aspects of business management including contract management, monitor management, risk identification, etc.
• EPC contract management, excellent skills in communication between client and subcontractors
