Appen is currently working on a project that aims to provide language-specific linguistic guidance to help improve TTS voice quality.
Required Qualifications:
• Native speaker of Gulf Arabic- UAE
• Master’s degree or higher in Linguistics, with focus on phonetics, phonology, or other speech science
• Proficiency with narrow phonetic transcription using either IPA or, preferably, X-SAMPA
• Must have a decent English-speaking skill
• Experience in working in recording studio and with speech recordings
• Conducting voice training is a plus.
