Role Objective:
Understand business needs/objectives and use statistical techniques to interpret data, analyze results and address business related issues by providing recommendations.
Manage the creation of data visualization and monitoring dashboards requested by different departments to drive operational efficiency.
Analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders and investigate/communicate areas for improvement while ensuring targets are continuously met.
Generate critical insight into business performance, deliver periodic reviews, answer various ad-hoc questions from different teams, evaluate what if scenarios/opportunities, and develop analytical solutions.
Responsible for the training and development of all staff in the division.
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:
STRATEGIC
Coordinate with multiple departments and management teams to define and manage the development of dashboards/reports.
Oversee the provision of data insights: Identify, prepare, join, and blend various internal and external data sets, and interrogate and analyze the results in order to gain insights currently unavailable to management.
Lead the design, development, and display of ongoing performance metrics, reports and dashboards to drive key business decisions.
Establish reporting standards and engage data engineering to deliver automated solutions, where possible.
Provide data science services to management teams/department heads and present trends or patterns in complex data sets through easy visualization.
Build analytical / data science solutions to better visualize and solve business problems.
Communicate deep analytical results in forms that resonate with the business collaborators to jointly set and achieve actionable KPIs.
OPERATIONAL
Formulate workflows to identify, extract, and filter data sets to create dashboards/reports that can be easily monitored by different departments.
Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from different sources, and building scripts that will make the data evaluation process more flexible and scalable.
Ensure that data extraction, monitoring and reporting processes, results, and decisions are documented in a clear and professional way ensuring this information is traceable and always up-to-date.
Develop work plans to identify, collect, aggregate and analyze relevant data by implementing statistical and mathematical methodologies.
Create ad-hoc reports according to different requirements and provide decision support information to the department’s management.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Responsible for the training and development of personnel in the team.
Ensure development, review and improvement of his/her relevant division/department’s process and procedures.
Coordinate with different teams understanding requirements and setting expectation.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
