Job description
We’re looking for a self-motivated professional who possesses a well-rounded set of IT, Web development & eCommerce skills. This individual will run multiple areas of the business. We are looking for someone who can help drive the business forward. There is huge growth potential in this role and well performing employees will be rewarded.
Website Management
Maintain a high level of performance to our current website
Improve the overall website experience by identifying performance enhancements to the website
Ensure that the product purchase flow is streamlined and continually improve the conversion rate
Introduce new technologies to improve the website/business further
Set up automation for business work flows, such as printing cards, raising delivery requests, flower requests etc,
Manage the communication with our outsourced website agency who is designing & building the new website project.
Website Development
Experience of developing web systems with Drupal and/or other PHP-based implementations, JavaScript, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL or other flavours), Node.js is a plus
Experience working with Shopify is also a big plus
Experience using Drush commands, maintenance scripts, and a web-based repository such as GitHub
Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery, and RSS technologies
Coding and developing features for new and existing products.
Upkeep and maintenance of existing products.
Excellent understanding of HTML and CSS
Good understanding of JavaScript and jQuery
Good understanding of basic programming practices
Experience with C#.NET
Ability to collaborate with others and work well within a team
Ability to keep up with a growing, fast-paced environment
Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to optimize the web application or website
Setup automation for the website in order to streamline business processes & workflows
SEO knowledge to optimize the website and familiar with various web auditing tools such as GTMetrix, SEO Tracker, Google, etc.
Ability to create and maintain MySQL & SQL databases
Experience with Shopify & Drupal is a plus
Order fulfillment / Customer Deliveries
Manage deliveries to ensure orders get to our customers on time
Create delivery requests Schedule deliveries with our partners (Couriers, bakery’s, florists etc)
Business development / Category Expansion
Find appropriate products that we can sell on our website, and negotiate the best rates.
Expand into new, relevant categories which will drive up our average order value.
Analyze potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing

Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and VueJS
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and .Net.
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
