Support the company in providing highly complex advice in relation to their area of legal expertise, including but not limited to commercial, corporate, M&A;, capital markets, litigation, development and construction and leasing transactional matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PROFITS
A. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues to avoid financial losses
B. Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
C. Provide strategic leadership with regards to Legal Department policies, procedures and process ensuring that there is no revenue loss
D. Overseeing contracts and ensuring that all aspects are covered in the interest of the company and we save cost and support in revenue generation
2. PROCESS
A. Negotiate, draft, review and advise upon, all required legal documentation in relation to real estate matters including Sale Purchase Agreements, lease agreements (commercial, residential and retail), facilities management agreements, property management agreements, development agreements, assignment agreements, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, strata management agreements, escrow agreements, legal notices, MOUs, LOIs, NDAs MOA, POA, shareholders’ agreements and all other related and ancillary documents and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws
B. Provide legal consultation, advice and support to companies across the Group in respect of both existing and prospective matters, and to identify, contain and manage exposure and contingent risk
C. Ensure proper compliance by the Company with all property laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Landlord and Tenant Law, and the Strata Law. The Legal Manager (with input from local and external legal counsel) will also need to be familiar with applicable laws in respect of Group property related businesses operating in the region and beyond
D. Collaborate with management to devise efficient defence strategies. Manage all the litigation and dispute matters for the company and briefs to draft for submissions to courts and for filing criminal cases. Attending hearings with advocates, drafting and assisting in service of notices, making case reports
E. Supervise and monitor other members of the Legal team, allocating work and managing workloads
F. Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
G. Regularly monitor compliance of governance.
H. Develop company policy and position on legal issues
I. Handling employee related disputes at Ministry of Labor and courts.

A. Liaise with external parties, government agencies and other competent authorities and create engaging relationship that will enable our organization to achieve desired results
B. Manage the internal stakeholders with harmony and be the subject matter expert and go to person from a legal perspective

A. Engage the legal team and ensure team follows the organizational requirements and we create a meritocracy-based culture and manage a cost prudent team
5. INITIAVTES
Provide advice in respect of more general commercial matters (including intellectual property, agency, distributorship, franchising, and finance issues) as well as advising on the management and conduct of various contentious matters
