Working under the direction of a remote Director of Finance and Administration the Financial Controller will be responsible for:
Becoming a key member of the leadership team and providing various levels of business partnering and strategic support for the GM and other key stakeholders
Managing the day-to-day financial operations of several companies and business units located across multiple countries.
Controlling the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes to stringent deadlines.
Preparation of monthly reporting packs in line with company and group requirements, including comprehensive variance analysis and commentary explaining the impact of Operational performance on monthly financial performance against forecast.
Preparation of quarterly budgets and forecasts.
Providing strong financial management, support and analysis of large complex projects.
Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and compliance with Group policies, with specific focus on correct and complete revenue recognition.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory reporting requirements.
Management and development of finance team to deliver key responsibilities, allocating tasks, objective setting and evaluation of resources to ensure the appropriate cover is maintained within the team.
Management of cashflow and local bank relationships.
Management of the audit process and internal controls and liaison with internal and external auditors.
المهارات
Qualified Accountant with Bachelors’ degree in Business, Accounting or Commerce
7-10+ years of experience, with at least 5-7 years of experience in financial and management accounting, preferably in a commercial environment
Previous experience in a Project Delivery and Service/Support environment is highly desirable
IFRS knowledge required
Knowledge of tax law applicable in the GCC, specifically VAT in UAE & Saudi Arabia
Demonstrable leadership/management track record in finance function
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Extremely strong analytic skills with demonstrated ability to conceptualise issues
Excellent working knowledge of accounting tools and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work to deadlines
Highly organised and comfortable managing your own workload
Excellent team leader and motivator
