Job Description and Requirements
A leading IT Company in the UAE looking for an enthusiastic engineer to work as an Automation Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and write test automation scripts
Use automation frameworks (standardized guidelines) to build programs
Investigate problems in software
Work closely with QA manual testers and the product team
Identify and drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability
Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner
Minimum Requirements:
2-3 years of working on a relevant software engineering position, including writing automated tests
A professional certificate
Experience in applying automation frameworks using some of the following tools: Selenium, Cucumber, Appium or similar
A good understanding of Web technologies; e.g. XML, HTML5, Json, etc.
A good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and the ability to write solid code in at least one OO language, such as Java or .NET
Previous programming experience using at least one of the languages mentioned above
Working experience with Scrum or a similar Agile methodology
A good understanding of relational (SQL queries) & non-relational databases
Understand testing throughout software lifecycle, including unit, integration, component, performance and end-to-end system testing
Excellent experience in coding and testing restful APIs
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)
Candidates should already be based in the UAE, preferably Dubai
