We are currently recruiting for Assistant Architect for our Dubai Centre of Excellence to join our creative team.
Responsibilities
Be part of the team:
Responsible for the production drawings (presentation and working drawings) and coordination of concept design (above average ability), schematic design, detail design and tender documents
To be a part of an Architectural team under the guidance of a Senior Architect, and to coordinate proactively with other engineering disciplines and their own architectural colleagues to achieve a homogeneous set of presentation or working drawings for tender
Report back to the Senior Architect for all production work and to aim for excellence in design quality and documentation, and match or better Atkins QA standards.
To conduct themselves professionally always and work seamlessly with one’s colleagues.
Report to their Senior Design Architect or Senior Architect on a regular basis regarding drawing production progress, design development issues, detail design queries and coordination issues.
Responsible for the correctness and ‘absolute accuracy’ of their drawing work (CAD), quality, layout and notes by checking oneself before review by their Senior Architect, as well as the coordination of drawings amongst the team and other disciplines.
To alert their Senior Architect when elements of the design or details are not working and offer solutions to these.
To focus and work in earnest to achieve high quality and drawing production to achieve the programme.
To show commitment to raising Atkins design standards.
To keep abreast of the latest software enhancements to increase productivity and to share this knowledge with one’s colleagues.
To take part of internal design competition

Requirements
B. Arch or B.Sc in Architecture (min 5 to 6 years of university study) and with no more than 2 to 3 years post graduate experience.
Knowledge of the following software is imperative: AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D Studio/Vis (preferable), as well as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Rhino, Sketch Up, Revit, Photoshop and Design
Good knowledge in delivering technical drawings
Excellent communications skills
