To lead, manage and develop the provision of the Subject teaching and learning within the school and to ensure appropriate monitoring, analysis and evaluation. To lead the department’s strategic and operational development.
To raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support pupil progress.
To be accountable for pupil progress and development within the subject area. To develop and enhance the teaching practices of teachers.
To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies
To manage and deploy teaching/support staff, and physical resources within the department effectively to support the department development plan.
Qualifications and Requirements:
M.A, B.Ed. in English, certificate should be attested from UAE.
Excellent English communication skills.
Minimum 5 years of experience as English Teacher in UAE.
Experience as English HOD is highly preferred.
Good leadership skills.
