Our client - A leader in residential, commercial and industrial automation – over 80 official global distributors and 18 manufacturing plants.
Sales Manager – Distribution – Middle East Region
The DSM, resident in UAE, will report to the Regional Manager, managing the Distribution sales team, existing distribution key accounts, new accounts development and carry out all necessary activities for the products family and market development. His activities will cover the Middle East territory with focus on distribution items in Access Control and Access Automation products business.
The candidate will mainly have the following responsibilities:
- Design and implement the department strategy understanding market dynamics, anticipating business trends with leadership and business acumen.
- Proactively guide and monitor the Distribution team, supervising and supporting their activity
- Manage the Distribution pipeline and sales, improving hits and success rate
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales
- Take ownership of major accounts, wherever required, in order to maximize the opportunity return (volume/margin)
- Manage product mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
- Forecasting, planning and reporting of revenues on monthly and quarter basis.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: University Degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar sales role.
• Possesses excellent communication and listening skills.
• Can build relationships quickly with both customers and colleagues.
• Possesses excellent time management and is able to prioritise workload and maintain own and reports sales pipeline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
