Job Summary:
Manages the operations of automobile garage which offers complete automotive solutions such as repairs, fixtures and servicing along with gas filling facility. Accountable for the P&L;of the business unit while developing and expanding business for the garage.
1. Planning & Forecasting:
1.1 Provide support to the business unit by ensuring proper planning and by assisting the Divisional Manager / General Manager and staff with the development of short term and long term plans.
1.2 Support preparation of annual budgets, regular variance statements and annual audit. Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the company. Provide recommendations regarding effective utilization of long and short term debt, including refinancing and purchasing/sales.
2. Operations Management, Marketing & PR:
2.1 Maintain a close liaison and coordination with all Insurance Companies with emphasis on obtaining business for the garage
2.2 Plan and execute running of existing garage and expand by setting up new garage in line with the company’s expansion plans
2.3 Develop effective sales/sales promotion & customer contact campaigns to enhance services & after sales services
2.4 Liaison and negotiation with suppliers on purchases and technical matters
2.5 Contracting and maintaining annual contracts with equipment suppliers for the garage
2.6 Develop new business with Corporate, Insurance Companies and individual walk in customers for the garage
2.7 Design annual marketing and promotional calendar for the business
3. Production & Quality Control:
3.1 Monitor and supervise the operations of the existing Garage services
3.2 Insure accurate documentation of production and quality control data and records.
3.3 Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel
3.4 Oversee and ensure high safety standards & housekeeping at all times
3.5 Direct production activities to insure safety & compliance with quality control standards & regulatory compliance
4. Finance Management
4.1 Support preparation of annual budgets, regular variance statements and annual audit
4.2 Provide information to the management regarding overall financial health of the company
4.3 Provide recommendations regarding effective utilization of long and short term debt, including refinancing and purchasing/sales.
5. Human Resources & Administration
5.1 Recruitment, development and training of staff
5.2 Performance management and improvement systems
5.3 Ensure client and vendor file integrity (documents, analytical information where required, communication notations, etc.).
5.4 Maintain general oversight and insure accuracy of records including Inventory, etc.
5.5 Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management
المهارات
Desired Profile
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in running a multi department medium to large sized garage with P&L;responsibility
• Minimum 10 years experience in an A Grade Garage
• Experienced in handling a mix of European/ American / Asian Cars.
• Fluent in English , Arabic is a definite advantage.
