The Manager of Ticket Sales Operations is responsible for project planning and roll-out through to Event delivery for the Ticketing Operations related to ticket sales at the Front Gates and within the Expo premises, including all space, asset, workforce, infrastructure and technology requirements.
This role will work closely with other Functional Areas such as Overlay and Information Technology, Guest Services, Venue Operations, Accreditation, Security, Transport, and Entertainment to ensure a successful integrated for an overarching seamless visitor experience.
Main responsibilities for this role include:
- Assists in the planning and management of the design, fit-out and concept of the ticket box offices at the Front Gates and the ticket sales stations within the Expo premises and helps develop and implement policies and procedures in coordination with other departments for the on-site sale of tickets and other entitlements;
- Initially, assists in the planning for the operation also of the ticket check-points and resolutions offices, and supports the development of policies and procedures in coordination with other departments – transitioning duties to a new team colleague dedicated to that role;
- Assists in developing the on-site strategy for management of workforce operations team, i.e. selection and placement, training, safety, appraisal and enforcement;
- Serves as a key event-time contact with the Ticketing service providers and assures compliance with all service standards and contract provisions for the Expo ticket sales, check and resolution;
- Works closely with the sales and operations teams that handle Schools and Groups to provide adequate on-site services;
- Works collaboratively with other stakeholders and departments as appropriate to facilitate timely delivery of infrastructure and ticketing related services to ensure the success of the project.

6 years+ experience of experience with at least 2 years working in the Front Gate operations of previous major, high-attendance volume events as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
- Profound knowledge of Front Gate operations for a high-scale event and/or multi-gate theme park venue;
- Familiarity with all key event operational functions, understanding the Ticketing Operations dependencies with the other operational departments of a major event;
- Concise written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge of computerized ticketing systems;
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices;
- Ability to prepare teams for operational readiness;
- Ability to lead teams successfully during event-time;
- Ability to communicate with and interface well at all levels from Director/executive level to large teams of daily workforce;
- Excellent customer services skills with patience for international diversity and challenges;
- High attention detail and quality;
- Events experience in the GCC.
