• Prepare and develop Security and Monitoring department strategy in line with RTA objectives and strategic goals and the best global practices and supervise the implementation.
• Follow up the related indicators and projects emanating from the information security strategy in RTA and develop the necessary corrective plans in cooperation with the concerned Sections/departments.
• Supervise the preparation and development of the general framework of corporate security governance, related regulations, policies, and standards in cooperation with all agencies and sectors, and audit the extent of compliance with their application and related performance indicators.
• Supervise the preparation and development of definite standards for various levels of security alerts and response plans for each level to ensure that security threats are restricted and actions are taken to be implemented in cooperation with the concerned authorities, moreover observe and audit the extent of compliance of Agencies / Department’s implementation.
• Ensure continuity of work on the development and implementation of plans of awareness activities for various security policies and procedures for RTA’s agencies and awareness programs for security sense.
• Continuous coordination with Safety & Risk Regulation and Planning Department to develop the Security Threat Registry in cooperation with RTA concerned departments.
• Oversee the development of security scenarios by analyzing threats to deal with security challenges and adapting RTA security readiness according to international security standards and international best practices based on information received from strategic security partners.
• Continuous coordination with external and internal partners to review and evaluate security evacuation plans and scenarios for agencies and sectors.
• Supervise the review of all types of threats/security impacts at the corporate level that may affect RTA to identify risk levels and facilitate the preparation and development of security response plans in coordination with partners.
• Conduct continuous auditing on the outputs of existing studies in the development of security engineering projects that achieve security control of RTA property and projects, and review the technical specifications related to security requirements to be followed by all the agencies and sectors and best standards.
• Raise Periodic reports on the continuous improvement in the corporate performance indicators of security and the extent of cooperation of sectors and agencies in the Roads and Transport Authority in the implementation of regulations, policies, and standards related to corporate security governance.
• Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and the expectations, and make recommendations for improved adjustments in the department to meet the operational needs in RTA.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate
2. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management from a recognized university.
• 7 years of working experience in the field of corporate security
• Prefer experience in crime prevention and security prevention
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• A computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
