Job Description
• Monitor, review and make improvement recommendations on O&M;contractor management of security issues in Rail operations.
• Review and make recommendations on by-laws execution, security-related operating procedures, and work instructions to O&M;contractor with the consent of RTA Operations.
• Review and make recommendations on remedial actions and improvement measures resulting from accidents and incidents relating to security issues in the system.
• Review and make recommendations on security hazards occurrences in the Metro operations.
• Monitor, review, and input on security-related issues for new transit projects relating to rail and tram system.
• Review and assess the security related matters and ensure O&M;contractor can meet the O&M;requirements and plan.
• Monitor the utilization of security resources of O&M;contractor in terms of staff manpower, facilities, and workload allocation matters. Make improvement recommendations to achieve cost-efficient manner.
• Monitor and assess O&M;contractor performance and progress relating to security performance targets in operations.
• Coordinate with the O&M;contractor and Emergency Services to plan and conduct emergency exercises and drills during a normal and emergency situation.
• Review and monitor of O&M;contractor deliverables relating to security and ensure compliance to the agreed concession agreement.
• Review, monitor and make improvement recommendations on the security performance of the O&M;contractor in metro and tram stations, in train and tram services, incident handling and car park management.
• Coordinate with external parties including Police in all security-related matters during special events.
• Input, review and make recommendations on the implementation and procedures of cash handling and collection in the system.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Engineering in electronics/systems from a recognized university.
• 8 years of working experience
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• A computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven ability to develop quality standards, testing procedures, inspection reporting formats, and the ability to conceptualize tasks and accomplish them.
• Good knowledge of statistical methods and their applications.
• Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
