Fresh Food Procurement Manager

Quest is now hiring for an exciting role of Fresh Food Procurement Manager to be based in Dubai with a market leading food distribution company. This buying position is responsible for the planning and execution of sourcing initiatives in the Middle East and internationally that result in successful contracts being asset up for these categories.

The Fresh Food Procurement Manager will develop plans to very high international standards that incorporate best practices and sound processes. Additionally, the Manager will oversee a portfolio of contracts in which they will ensure the supplier meets their commitments and that customers’ needs are being met.

Key responsibilities:
Partner with customers to identify ways to improve value for them and suppliers.Lead supplier negotiation and pricing strategy development for supplier agreements.Lead business ownership activity for his/her portfolio/categories.Collaborate with clients and suppliers as and when needed.Build and maintain supplier relationships; hold suppliers accountable to deliver contractual commitments.

Requirements:
Significant procurement & category management experience, preferably in grocery retail, food distribution, hotel or food serviceSolid business judgment along with ability and experience of handling & leading a team.Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skillsA bachelor’s degree is an important qualification preferably in Business/Supply chain or Food Technology.
