- Optimization of equipment, procedures, and departmental budgets to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment
- To configure and run a team of maintenance technicians
- To develop and manage preventative maintenance programs, diagnose and repair or get repaired from outside sources
- Will be responsible for ensuring all technical installations and equipment is duly certified as per regulatory health and safety requirements
- Will keep abreast of latest technological trends of machinery in order to improve the efficiency of production systems
- Provides solutions to routine and a wide variety of problems ranging from simple to moderate in scope and complexity
- Trains and guides technicians in the day/shift teams to ensure standards are maintained
