Technical / Technical Leadership
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
Recommends and prepares technical papers.
Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports;
Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to Clients;
Be able to present and defend designs (prepared by him or by others) in front of Clients and obtain approvals.
Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
Be able to independently & objectively verify works produced by another design team.
Design / Project Management
Mentor, coach and develop staff and assist them to achieve their full potential.
Be able to lead smaller design teams on technical assignments.
Plan, manage, and supervise the work of project requiring expenditure of manpower and financial investment.
Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
Manage production of designs by others and provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.
Understand and demonstrate value of diversity. Resolve conflicts with minimum noise.
Understand and respect the hierarchy in decision making; follow decisions and instructions given by Line Manager.
المهارات
- 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) with 10 years of related work experience.
- Membership of Industry recognized professional institute; Preferably has attained professional recognition (PE or Chartered status);

-Strong technical skills
-Knowledge of corporate standards; Good project management skills and business acumen
-Well versed in structural analysis software such as MIDAS / SAP2000 / CSI Bridge / STAAD
-Familiar with BIM process / procedures and platforms for e.g. Autodesk / Bentley / Tekla
-Well versed in analysis and design of bridge projects using American and Eurocodes;
-Experienced in designing / reviewing steel structures, connections & reviewing steel fabrication drawings
-Adequately experienced in leading teams in designing & delivering bridge projects; Middle East experience is preferred.
-Dynamic leader to lead teams to produce designs and manage production by Engineers and drafts persons of designs of bridges, prepare design reports and get the related drawings prepared
