Restaurant Supervisor
Reports to Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Purpose:
Ensures the delivery of the highest standard of food and beverage quality by supporting the Café management team in the day to day operation of the outlet. The Café Supervisor will be a brand ambassador, and endeavour to provide exceptional levels of service through a personalised guest experience that aims to delight and exceed customer expectations every time.
Key Accountabilities:
Guest
• Consistently creates a warm, thoughtful and sincere guest experience through a personalised approach and attention to detail.
• Will go the extra mile to try to understand and anticipate customer needs making every guest feel unique and valued.
• Can confidently provide solutions to guest queries or complaints but will escalate issues where appropriate to the duty manager.
• Gets to know and build a rapport with regular guests.
Service and Operations
• Continually uphold standards of Café performance, policies and procedures and service standards pertinent to the efficient operation of the Café.
• Oversees guest orders and will assist in cashiering and invoicing.
• Oversees and performs routine checklists, set ups and organises the floor before and after the operation of each shift as per side station set up standard
• Oversees cleaning as per cleaning schedules and instructions of duty manager as required.
• Adherees to all other service standards and procedures (Manuals / SOP, HACCP)
Sales and Budget
• Understands how maximising profitability is achieved and costs are controlled in order to assist the management with achieving targets.
• Continually keeps abreast with all Company products, services and activities to be able to promote offerings and to be responsive to guest enquiries.
Inventory, Stock Control and Administration
• Undertakes accurate monthly inventories of all Café stock.
• Understands how to ensure efficient purchasing, issuing of supplies, stock control and inventory control and can undertake some departmental reports when necessary.
Team Management
• Take an interest in team member’s welfare, safety, training and development.
• Supervise performance, providing on the job constructive feedback to colleagues that further assists in their continuous improvement.
• In the absence of the Café management, conducts team briefings with all team members to ensure colleagues are informed and up to date with management communications.
• Ensures proper staffing of the Café and arranges cover where necessary.
• Plays an integral part in the training of any new team members.

• Set the example as a Bateel brand ambassador inside and outside of work via the following:
- Working to uphold quality and pride in their work, themselves and their Café.
- Ensure the adherence to grooming guidelines for themselves and enforcing the same with their team members.
• Maintains presentation and effectiveness of the Café by ensuring high standards of food and product quality, equipment, floor organisation, cleanliness and that all maintenance issues or hazards are resolved efficiently in a timely manner (e.g. floors, tables walls, plumbing, equipment/ tools).

• Takes responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all guests, colleagues and self at all the times.
• With no exception not only complies, but enforces all hygiene, sanitation and food safety guidelines as laid out by the Company, in line with local Country Laws, and regulations. This includes food expiration, fire and first aid regulations.

Experience requirement:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in F&B;industry in managerial position
• Proficiency in both verbal and written English Language
Qualification and Licenses requirement:
• High School Certificates/Diploma
• Occupational Health Card
