The Senior Manager – Health and Safety Training will provide support to other departments across Expo, ensuring Health and Safety training requirements are implemented as the Expo site transitions from construction, into operational readiness and the eventual event phase of Expo in October 2020.
The main responsibilities in this role will include:
- Develop health and safety training courses for a range of target audiences, including construction operatives, volunteers and event-time workforce;
- Deliver compelling and effective training courses to develop awareness and competency in health and safety;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety training provision in order to identify areas for improvement;
- Prepare reports for management action based on the outcomes of health and safety training evaluations;
- Liaise with external awarding bodies as necessary for accredited health and safety training courses;
- Act as a point of contact and liaise with key stakeholders on health and safety training requirements;
- Support the implementation of Expo’s health and safety campaigns and related initiatives;
- Keep fully informed of all existing and proposed changes in legislation and best practice applicable to health and safety training;
- Undertake additional health and safety tasks as assigned by the Director of Health and Safety – Operations.
المهارات
8+ years’ professional experience as a Health and Safety Trainer as well as:
- A Bachelors Degree;
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (NVQ Level 6, BSC Diploma);
- CMIOSH or equivalent professional membership;
- Ability to deliver training in a range of languages, including English, Hindi and Urdu is essential;
- Involvement in complex construction projects and/or major events;
- Flexible to changing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers and external customers.
- Both oral and written communication skill is essential.
