Our clients are a leading multiline group operating in different industries in the Middle East seeking to recruit a “Junior Legal Counsel” for their office in Dubai, UAE. The Junior Counsel will be reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.

*Negotiating transactions, excluding complex transactions *Providing input on tactics, research and contextual awareness *Supporting the Group legal functions by providing legal expertise and services, including: *Supporting the internal business units in strategy and execution of corporate objectives; *Reviewing and amending contractual documentation;*Providing frontline legal input on compliance and governance; *Undertaking contractual negotiations with external lawyers and/or counterparties under supervision*Helping ensure internal stakeholders are aware of the risks, mitigations and key legal issues in any contractual commitment for the Group, under supervision*Show initiative in relation to drafting and legal analysisProficient researcher and analyst*Share policeman responsibilities in relation to compliance with relevant laws and industry best practice *Retaining contacts with key external legal experts in relation to all matters requiring specialist expert advice *Work closely with all senior team members in ensuring legal concerns are addressed as soon as possible*Support the lead on contract negotiations with principals, suppliers and counsel of counter parties *Investigate legal claims and complaints by or against the Group, preparing analysis for senior approval/validation · *Assist in the formation of new business lines and renegotiation of existing businesses*Assist in securing final terms and conditions for key contracts between the Group and other parties and provide to senior team members for final approval *Advice seniors team members and management on legal matters pertaining to their responsibilities, potential liabilities and exposures to assist in the making of informed decisions in line with relevant SoAs*Comprehensively and succinctly synthesise large volumes of information*Meticulous attention to detail*Company governance awareness and ability to draft basic company governance documentation *Solution orientated in a practical and compliant manner, in line with corporate governance and principles*Ability to understand basic financial principles *Native Arabic Speaker & fluent in English*Graduate degree in Law*Between 4 – 6 years of experience
